The National Underground Railroad Museum resides in the old Bierbower House, a documented Safe House for runaway slaves. Visitors will find multiple exhibits featuring an extensive collection of artifacts, documents, and memorabilia documenting our town's role in abolition, as well as the history and role of slavery in America.
Visitors can also learn more about the culture and religion of slaves as well as the process of how many found freedom
